The Liebster Award!

I was kindly nominated for the Liebster award by the lovely Sophie from and unicorn girl from both great blogs that you should check out.

Thank you so much for nominating me <3 it means so much to me.
The award is to help smaller blogs get noticed and have a wider following!!!
The rules are:

  • Nominate 11 other blogs with less than 200 followers
  • Create 11 questions for the nominees to answer
  • Notify all the nominees through social media/their blogs

So without further ado here are the questions I was asked.

1. If you could marry one celeb who would it be and why?

I would have to say Ryan Gosling cause he seems like a nice and funny guy, plus those abs, have you seen Crazy, Stupid Love if not you have to watch it just for his abs.

2. What is your favorite makeup brand?

Very tough choice this one, I’m gonna have to go with benefit cosmetics as I use quite a lot of their stuff daily, not sure I could cope without their brow products and mascara.

3. What would you do if you won £1 million.

I don’t think I would do anything that crazy, probably buy myself a nice flat in Edinburgh, treat my parents to a holiday or whatever they wanted. I would buy a nice classic handbag that I could use for any occasion either Prada or Chanel and I would save the rest.

4.  What is my favorite clothes shop?

I think it would be H&M as I can get everything I need from there. I can never seem to pop in without seeing something I want whether it’s clothes or jewelry to accessories.

5. Lip gloss or Lipstick and why?

Definitely lipstick as I don’t really wear much gloss, I don’t really like the texture of most glosses I find them too sticky plus the weather in Scotland tends to just cause your hair to stick to your face lol

6. Dogs or Cats?

Im totally a cat person, i think I prefer how independent they are in comparison to dogs. You can just leave them to get on with it where as I think with dogs you have to look after them more which I’m not sure I would have enough time for since with two jobs i’m never home.

7. Marmite…Love or Hate?

I can’t stand it, don’t understand how anyone can eat it.

8. Favorite band/musician?

At the moment it’s Ed Sheeran, I constantly have his CD playing in the car and I’m still not sick of it.

9. What would you name your son/daughter?

Well it would have to depend on their last name but I have always liked Darcy for a Girl and William for a boy, I like quite classic names.

10. Would you rather be freezing cold or boiling hot?

I think too cold, I don’t really like the heat. I think growing up in Scotland has made my body reject the heat so anytime I go on holiday I just moan that I’m too hot.

11. Who is your all time fave blogger?

I quite like the Sunday Girl, the pictures are amazing and whenever I see her in my feed with a new post I can’t stop myself reading.

The blogs I nominate are:

The Christmas Tag

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?

Probably Love Actually, because it’s just so bloody good.

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?

Growing up I had a few white Christmas as I’ve lived in Scotland my whole life. However, my first white Christmas I was about seven years old when I visited my grandparents in the Highlands.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?

At home with my family. We don’t like to travel but love when family comes up to see us!

4. What is your favorite Christmas song?

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) by Michael Buble or All I Want for Christmas Is You. Both miraculous songs. And I just love Michael Buble *fangirl sigh*

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?

Yes. My brother and I have figured out at this point that every year we are allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve and it’s always pajamas. And it is always the best gift because then I get to wake up Christmas Day with new pajamas!

6. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer?

Dasher, Prancer, Donner, Vixen, Rudolph…no

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?

Christmas morning after we open presents and my entire family sits in their jim jams and eats a special Christmas breakfast and we just laugh and talk and be a family. This year has been really crazy for all of us, so I’m looking forward to spending some holly jolly fun with them.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?

Real, nothing smells better.

9. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?

Anything with the word ‘cookie’ in it is usually good or gingerbread.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?

In all honesty, I couldn’t tell you. As always, I look forward to the gifts that people are getting me this year and all that jazz. However, now that I’ve done my Christmas shopping, I’m really excited to see everyone’s faces after they open them. They are both great feelings.

11. What is the best Christmas gift you’ve ever received?

I’ve received a lot of great gifts over the years, but I think the one that I remember just being the overall best was the dollhouse my dad built. It was amazing!

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?

New York. I would do anything to go see the Rockefeller tree and then see the ball drop on New Years’.

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?

I am sort of a bit of both, it depends what I’m wrapping. My mother has the real talent, I usually put a nice boy on it to Jazz it up and hide any mistakes.

14. Most memorable Holiday moment?

There have been a lot, but I think one of my favorites has to be when we see the Nutcracker. Growing up, when we lived closer to the city, I used to go see a professional production every year. For the past eight years I haven’t seen one. This last weekend I flew to the city and my mother and I were able to see a production. Getting to see those performances makes Christmas so great.

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?

There’s a rule in my family. No belief in Santa, no Santa presents. I can’t tell you the exact age that the illusion was shattered, but I always kept the idea that I believed alive. I have a little brother and although he no longer believes, I tried to keep on the legacy. I don’t believe there is a man who comes down my chimney, but I do believe in the belief of Santa.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?

Yes. In the past I’ve made resolutions that have just become ridiculous and end up never being fulfilled. I have now started to make realistic resolutions and I’ve been sticking to them. So go me!

17. What makes the holidays special for you?

Being able to get away from all the stress of school and work and concentrate on my friends and family. I am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life and being able to spend time with them makes the holidays special.

That is my Christmas tag! If you want to answer them too, either reply in the comments OR if you have your own blog, post them and put the link in the comments OR if you are on YouTube, post a video and put the link in the comments. I want to know more about you!

Have a holly jolly Christmas!

The British Tag

brit flag

So looking through many blogs I kept seeing this tag pop up and i could resist having a go.  There’s something fun about taking part in tags and I love reading other bloggers answers. Now, with brew in hand, let’s get on with this tag!

1. How many cups a tea do you have a day an how many sugars?

I would say an average day would be four or five. I need to have one when I first wake up or I simply won’t be able to function till 11 o’clock, even if I have no time for breakfast, a cuppa will have to go with me in a travel mug. It’s also a must have for a brew bed which I know makes no sense, caffeine before sleep, but I don’t feel settled without one. Other than those two I just have one whenever I need a little pick me up. I’m a simple milk and 2 sugars or a builders brew as my mum would say although I can be picky for certain types of tea bag, if you offer me twinings you will be my new favourite person. As you can tell tea is pretty important to me.

2.  Favourite part of your roast?

Well I’m a vegetarian so don’t really have a traditional Sunday roast however I do love yorkshire pudding when they’re full of gravy and buttery mash potato.

3. Favourite dunking biscuit?

I don’t dunk! Biscuits are supposed to be crunchy, there’s nothing worse than soggy biscuits in my opinion!!

4. Favourite quintessentially British pastime?

Moaning about the weather. Then using the weather as an excuse to curl up on the couch and watch a good film or read a book, with a cuppa of course.

5. Favourite word?

Thats a hard question! I say indeed all time, which I think is British? Also, chuffed if I’m happy at something.

6. Do you know any cockney rhyme slang?

Not really, as a Scot we have our own random words we use instead. I can only think of ‘Apples and Pears’?

7 .What is your favourite sweet?

I’m going to have to go with Jazzles, they always bring back memories of getting a pick n mix from Woolworths when I was little and filling a bag with them since they are really light!

8. What would your pub be called?

The Black Swan maybe? I dunno, it would be some form of Animal.

9. No. 1 British person?

The entire cast of Harry Potter.

10. Favourite shop/restaurant?

I can’t go into town without going into John Lewis. Let’s face it, they have everything in there and more often than not I will find myself wandering around picking things out for my imaginary home, it’s like walking through Pinterest!

11. What British song pops into your head?

Wannabe – Spice Girls, not sure how that represents Britain though lol

12. Marmite?

No, no, no, no, no, no, just no! Absolutely no. It’s so wrong. Eurgh. No!

If you’re British, then consider yourself tagged! If you’re not British, then why not make up a tag for your own country? Go on, you know you want to!
